The Aikansa dress is made of cotton poplin with a placement print of the Päärynä pattern on the front. The dress has a V-neck in the back neckline with bands that are tied together at the neck. The voluminous sleeves have elastic gathers at the sleeve ends.
The fun, originally huge Päärynä (pear) pattern displays the influence of pop art which was in vogue when the print was designed.
